The service is being reorganised in Sicily following the circular issued by Councillor Vania Contrafatto in line with the so-called “Unlock Italy” law. The new provisions confirm the placement under administration of the old ATOs (“Optimal Territorial Areas”) and establish a roadmap that will oblige local authorities to set up the new Area Authorities by 12 April. The challenge for the next few years is to grow and optimise investments.
