Hydraulic invariance applied to urban development, the most innovative solutions for mitigating atmospheric phenomena like flooding and cloudbursts, and sustainable management of urban drainage to deal with climate change are the objects of research and innovation by the CAP Group, which is preparing a "Manual for Good Practices in Urban Drainage Systems" for distribution to people working in the sector. There is special attention focused on the prevention and mitigation of flooding and hydrological instability caused by the increasing impermeability of the soil and solutions to ensure high levels of hydraulic and environmental safeguards.
