The BolognaFiere event will showcase the latest innovations in water resource management, focusing on artificial intelligence and climate resilience.
Accadueo, the leading trade fair for the water sector organized by BFWE BolognaFiere Water&Energy, returns to Bologna for its 18th edition from October 7 to 9, 2025.
The 2025 edition of Accadueo has already secured over 50% of the available exhibition space and aims to surpass the success of the 2023 edition, which welcomed more than 400 companies and over 8,000 specialized visitors in Bologna.
The event will feature in-depth discussions through conferences and workshops with the participation of national and international experts, as well as dedicated exhibition spaces showcasing the most innovative solutions for addressing challenges related to water cycle sustainability. Additionally, key topics will include digital transition, European regulations, and available funding opportunities for the sector.
Following its successful debut at the Fiera del Levante in 2024, the event aims to establish a strong alternating presence between Bologna and Bari. While Bologna serves as the international meeting point for companies, institutions, and market operators, Bari—with its strategic position in southern Italy—continues to act as a natural bridge for collaborations with Mediterranean countries.
Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere, stated:
"The water sector is one of the great challenges of our time, and BolognaFiere, through Accadueo, aims to support the industry, institutions, and professionals in developing innovative and sustainable solutions. The alternation between Bologna and Bari adds value, allowing us to respond even more effectively to the evolving needs of this dynamic community. It provides companies with an international specialized platform, fostering business opportunities and collaboration."
Paolo Angelini, CEO of BolognaFiere Water&Energy, added:
"Accadueo 2025 will be a unique opportunity to address crucial challenges in water resource management. We will explore key topics such as water and wastewater treatment technologies, smart water management through digitalization and AI, and climate resilience strategies. Additionally, we will focus on innovations in desalination and water reuse, sustainability in industrial and municipal processes, and the policy reforms needed to ensure a sustainable future. Our ambition is to promote dialogue between technology, institutions, and operators to develop concrete and forward-thinking solutions."
"The Bari edition of Accadueo," Angelini concluded, "was instrumental in exploring new opportunities in Southern Italy and the Mediterranean region. The Bologna event will be even more inclusive and international, providing the water sector with a platform for growth, dialogue, business opportunities, and collaboration to drive a path of innovation and sustainability for the future."
